BANDITS COME TO TOWN!

This Wednesday evening the Kings Lynn ‘Money Centre’ Stars take on the Berwick Bandits in Premier League action. The Stars missed a home fixture last week in place of the Ashley Jones Memorial meeting, that has given their competition a chance to move up the league table with the Stars dropping from third to fifth. A win against Berwick will give them two points and move them up one place and within only 4 points of the top of the table.

At the beginning of the season the Bandits were predicted to finish bottom of the league by the Speedway Star magazine, since then they have made that prediction look silly

leading the table for 4 weeks. They now have 14 points compared to Kings Lynn’s 17 and a win would put them back in contention of the league title. Rob Lyon explains why their team has done so well ‘Berwick basically signed a team full of un knowns, when that happens it can go one of two ways and everyone predicted the wrong way. Nobert Magossi has been their real trump card and it will be great to see him go round Lynn, he seems like a big track rider to me. Adrian Rymel has a great record at Lynn and has beaten Topinka on a few occasions. It will be interesting to see how Tero Aarnio goes as he has been one of our targets to sign in the past few seasons but because of various reasons never happened.’

Kings Lynn were beaten by Newcastle away from home and is upset they were without Kozza Smith ‘Kozza got called up to ride for the Australian U21 team but I think we really did miss him, we couldn’t get an adequate replacement but I suppose that’s how the cookie crumbles sometimes and you can’t have all the luck. I’m glad he is back for this Wednesday as I think we are going to need him, Berwick look like a good team and have a got a real sting in their tail with two experienced riders like Paul Clews and Scott Smith at reserve.’

Wednesday nights racing starts at 7:30pm at the Norfolk Arena. Admission prices are Adults £12, Concessions £8, 12-15yrs £4 and all kids 11 and under are free.
