Will the Premier Trophy return in 2008?

Reigning Premier Trophy Champions, the King's Lynn 'Money Centre' Stars, have a busy start to the defence of their trophy with four meetings in five days. It all starts this Wednesday (March 19th) when the Stars take on the Mildenhall Fen Tigers. Riders and fans will then return to the track on Good Friday at 12 noon to see the first leg of a home and away bonanza against the Birmingham Brummies with the return just seven hours later in the Midlands. On Sunday afternoon the Stars will make the short over to West Row for the away match against the Fen Tigers.

Team manager Rob Lyon believes his team are ready to stamp their authority on the group's qualifying table: "With 2 points for a home win and 3 for an away one we have a maximum of 10 points to pick up over five days, realistically if we could get seven of those we would be happy but we are aiming to collect all ten. The challenge matches against Ipswich were hard but I think it did our boys good, they really mixed it with some of the world's best riders, and when they face Premier League opposition it should all seem a lot easier. Mildenhall actually surprised me by doing very well away at Peterborough in their first meeting of the season, so they should be good competition and a good warm up for Birmingham who have a very good team this season."

The gates open at 10:30am on Good Friday with the parade at 12 noon. With the right weather the Stars should see a bumper crowd so please arrive as early as possible. Admission for Wednesday's and Friday's meetings are:

Adults £12 (Concessions £8) Kids 12 - 15 years £4, Kids 11 years + under free.
